Capitalism is built on ignorance, greed and fear.
Money and corporations are figments of human imagination.
John Falzon (Business win not good for gander, CT 27/8/23, p. 11) rightly says capitalism is ripping the guts out of our egalitarian impulses and that societies work better when they are built on solidarity rather than fear.
However, John blames the symptoms of our national destitution and enslavement, namely corporate price gouging and greed, rather than its cause.
Our national dystopia is built on a gigantic fraud, namely the idea that money not human endeavour is essential to human life and that it can only be created out of thin air by banks. That LIE is reinforced by most governments because they are bought and paid for by bankers. See: https://ronchapman.substack.com/p/cosmic-consciousness-and-its-energetic
That LIE, ably assisted by the LIE that corporations are real, have human personality; and have greater legal rights than people, underpins capitalism and the enslavement, poverty and fear it creates. See eg: Supreme Court of the United States (via Findlaw), Santa Clara County v. Southern Pacific Railroad Company, decided May 10, 1886.
Now that AI, robots and technology are rapidly reducing the need for human labour to create abundance and maintain civilisational infrastructure, we are being gaslighted with further LIES about inadequate productivity necessitating greater unemployment and reduced wages and benefits for the dwindling ranks of wage slaves and everyone else. Owning a home is becoming a luxury for young people who are told they’ll own nothing and be happy.
The takeover of the Commonwealth Bank after Dennison Miller’s death in 1923 https://truthout.org/articles/ellen-brown-what-a-government-can-do-with-its-own-bank/ started the rot but the spate of privatisations of publicly created utilities, like the PMG (Telecom), Medibank and Qantas (all paid for by many decades of public tax funding) has completed the private FOR PROFIT control grid that’s taken over the nation and now impoverishes Australians. If Australians are too stupid and supine to reverse this covert corporate takeover of the nation they deserve what they get.
