A cashless society is NOT inevitable
Unhackable Quantum computerised personal banking will facilitate electronic, cost-free transaction payments but currency & money backed by gold and precious metals will still be used.
Garry Linnell (A brave new world in a cashless society, CT 29/7/23, p. 35) says: “a cashless society is inevitable. It’s almost here”.
I disagree.
Although quantum computerised unhackable personal banking is almost here and it will facilitate electronic, transaction cost-free payments for most things, real gold and precious metal backed money will soon become available and will still be used. One reason for this is that power outages prevent money transfers and freeze commerce and societal interactions involving money.
The existing banking cartels seek to eliminate cash in order to totally control the population because electronic bank accounts can be switched off at the press of a button. Also, money can be stolen from accounts by the same mechanism.
The other reason that banks and governments have for electronic banking is the fact that it totally eliminates the privacy of transactions so that those who control the system have instant knowledge of transactions and the identity of those involved in them.
However, once the coming collapse of the global financial and banking system(s) occurs a new, unhackable financial and banking system will begin operating. That system will NOT be controlled by banks or governments. It will be controlled by Star Link satellites protected by Space Force who will ensure the integrity of the system and all transactions. So be it.
